What was the highlight of Sundancer Residences and Villas Lombok
Beautiful hotel to get away from it all but needs slightly better upkeep
The property is dominated buy and amazing pool that is as enjoyable to be in as it is to look at. The property is well maintained and feels like a little paradise. The room was huge and elegantly designed. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
More attention needs to be paid to the little things. The glass doors in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a while, the tea and coffee provided in room felt cheap and stingy, the door to the bedroom needed adjusting, the kitchen trash bin was not emptied one day during cleaning, the beach was full of trash.

Perfect reclusive vacation.
The staff were incredible and the resort overall is beautiful. There are views of the water from the balcony. If you are looking for a reclusive vacation where you stay in, read, tan and spend time by the pool this is the perfect space. It also seemed like a great place for families with huge rooms and kitchens.
The wifi wasn't very good and the resort was about 1.5 hours from Mataram / Senggigi and about 1.5 hours from Kuta, the two main tourist areas. It was really hard to go around from the resort, because we had to commute over 3 hours a day just to go and come from the city and calling taxi's wasn't ideal because they didn't want to drive that far. The beach was also not cleaned or ready for guests to use so it was really just the pool that was available

What was the highlight of Sundancer Residences and Villas Lombok
STAY AWAY from this resort!
The size of the 2 bedroom grand suite we stayed at, is amazing! It is huge, and has a great view. It was pretty clean, and the beds are very comfy. The driver who picked us up and drove us around, Pak Erfan, was very helpful. He also helped us in solving some of the room's issues when we checked in (there were some already). It was quiet, some nights, we were the only guests in the resort (after we found up why, and the reason was bad). The swimming pool is big and nice, but need maintenance/cleaning. There were mildew and mold at some places, pretty disgusting! The location is not ideal, since there is a road in front of the resort, it can be very loud. Often times, loud motorcycles and trucks drove by, and they were LOUD! Lastly, the location of this resort from the airport is very far. It would take 1 hour and 30 minutes one-way.
STAY AWAY from this resort, until the Beach Club is opened and fixed! When I booked this resort, it DID NOT state that the Beach Club is closed, it only listed "Bar is closed". I WAS CHEATED by this resort, they lied on booking.com! The staff let us go there, but it was completely deserted and dirty. We used the water swing, and we were bitten by bugs (from the rotten wood swing), and there was human poop floating! Disgusting to the max! Clearly no maintenance or even basic cleaning was done. The room had issues, including rats in the room with a king-sized bed. My wife told the front desk, and after 2 nights, finally it got resolved. The rats woke us up around 3 am, and chewed on the AC, and left some styrofoam crumbs on the floor. The main door had lock issue, where it could not be locked! After it was fixed, the staff was negligent to leave the door unlocked, and it happened twice, when we were out! We complained of course! The restaurant and food were mediocre, the staff either did not know what they were doing or they were negligent. We had to keep correcting them on the orders, so many times. How come they were not trained, even for a basic request of "boiled eggs" which is part of the menu? And how come, after more than once, we told them, "no sauce" on the burger, which they answer "yes", we still got sauce? My wife and my Mother-In-Law, had a massage at the spa. Not surprise, the massage therapist was the woman who also works at the front desk! She was OK, but told my wife to flip over before she massage my wife's back and shoulders. My wife told her to give her a massage on the shoulder and neck, and questioned why she asked her to flip over. Good thing, she obliged. There were rat's poop droppings in the bathroom! We wanted to talk to the Manager about all the bad things that happened, and ask him to make things right (e.g. compensating us with free nights, etc.).

Amazing rooms, amazing view, staff were great. Not great facilities and not good food
The room was unbelievably amazing, we had the hillside pool villa and the views were incredible.
Wasn’t a well maintained hotel, it was a little neglected. No attention to detail. The food however wasn’t good at all, very limited in choices and when you order something from the menu you always get something different depending on what they have available. I was even served 2 dead bees in my coffee.
